Heavy-Duty Snap Setter Tool Built to last much longer than the light-duty snap tools. Repair and install snaps with the Snap Setter tool. The Snap Setter has precision snap dies welded directly to a heavy duty locking plier. The adjuster knob allows you to tighten the Snap Setter for a tight or loose snap install. Easy to use and can be stored with your other boat tools. Works on cap (dome) side snaps only. Read more It's a snap! Step 1: Punch and Insert Mark place for snap and punch a hole in the canvas with an awl or small punch, just large enough for the snap post. Insert cap side snap piece. Step 2: Set Push the inner snap over the snap post. Step 3: Squeeze Position the Snap Setter so that the dome rests in the anvil and the male die touches the end of the post. Squeeze handles together to set the snap, until the Snap Setter clamps. Open Snap Setter, turn adjuster knob 1/2 turn, and close Snap Setter again on snap.
